I am looking at these and they look interesting. Does anyone know anything about them? Are they made by Mitsubishi? What would be a good price?Not sure I trust the local dealer, one salesman quoted one price and the other let slip something about $1K less. They sure look good and have reasonable specs.Have heard bad things about Longs but if they are made by Mitsubishi they might be pretty good.Thanks.

I have seen these tractors at the dealer. I happened to be there when they arrived. they look to have alot of good features . I'm in Pa. These tractors have a three digit model number instead of what is on theirweb site and literature. My dealer saw the proto type at a long dealer meeting and said they were the two digit number models. They also went with a folding rops which he said they were unsure of at the meeting. I too thought they maybe made by Mitsu. I put up a post on the Machinery forum and another guy had posted a link to these tractors with another name . I have been interested in the 2460 Long, what problems have you heard of? ....

Thanks for the post I was able to find that web site for LG Machinery. Sure looks as if this is the place that makes them. Still haven't heard anything about them. I would also like to find out some prices.I have heard trouble about longs mainly from folks trying to push the Ford/New Holland which is pretty close.Poor service, parts availablity, ect. Doesn't seem to be much on the internet about them either.Would liketo hear if anyone has experience good or bad.ThanksDavid ....

I have called LONG and sent Emails but they have not responded with any information on these new models. If they do not provide good follow-up before the sale what will it be like after???? ....

Can't tell you much about the Long except that my dealer said the a company called Long Agribusiness has brought them into the US (about 5 years ago) . It's located in Tarboro, NC and supposedly has a very large warehouse with available parts for the Long tractor. Haven't heard of any specific trouble areas on the tractor but may be too soon to tell. For the price, they sound good. Let me know if you learn of any trouble areas or service problems with them. ....

I have owned a Long 460 tractor for 10 years. I use it for all types of ranch needs and have never had any problems with it. It is a diesel and starts right up every time I need to use it. I have never had to do anything to it except normal service such as oil change and filter changes. I am currently looking for a front end loader to mount on it. Does anyone know of any used Long loaders for sale? ....
